Thus begins the story of The Council, The courts and the breaches of law. It continues with a victim denied the right to present evidence in defence - the victim started to present evidence but "I... was stopped and costs were [then] awarded against me."

What this appears to ammount to is an unfair trail and multiple breaches of the both common law and satutes.

I expected a fair hearing today but forgot we were in Thanet...

I expected a fair hearing today but forgot we were in Thanet. Silly me - I thought that the courts were unbiased but it seems they know what side their bread is buttered.

I neer expect quite such a case of blatant corruption over a matter of £80.

Those of you odd enough to follow me arround the internet will know I don't exactly have a high opinion of the police anymore.

I wonder why.

A few lads set up a video then a few more stage a break and enter on the home they livein while a crowd of police fail to react. All real apart from the crime which was fake.

Password Needed to Access Councillor Contact Info

Why is that when I need vital information from the council's own website I am faced with http error codes.

For example I need to contact my new councillors for the ward I am in as a matter of extreme urgency. (no kidding this is some bad stuff I need to address).

However for some reason I must have a user name and password to access the councillors contact information.

Does anyone know what this user-name and password combo might be?

I'm happy to say that I will be voting against the current Dane Valley councillors as they refuse to do their job, reply to the people they represent or even make an effort to pretend they give a damn. Whoever is left - they get my vote regardless of the party they stand for.

Well that's my vote sorted out - what about anyone else?

What are our councilors thinking? After an extensive search I can find no details of the candidates anywhere.

You won't find much on Thanet in the Wikipedia and even less on sky news or some other wide audience news broadcast but that does not mean that we are not newsworthy.

I think it is more that the world has had enough stories of currption, police incompitency and escaped prisionors. The UK would now rather read about Anna Nicole Smith, Britney Spears or Paris Hilton at least according to the top searches on Google from the UK and Ireland.

fillthathole.org.uk is a site for reporting potholes in roads and then getting the council to fill them in!

What should be the relativly simple task of swapping flats with a tenant of the same land lord has desended into a farce.

The land lord is thanet council (well known as a bad council).

Freedom of information site

I was thinking that a site (seperate to this but perhaps feed this one with information could be set up to co-ordinate freedom of information requests.

It would need to maintain a small income to pay postage costs but this could be distributed among voluntiers (I've spelt that wrong) who would send the requests and then log the repsonse.

It should be searchable and create a public record. If it grows large it should be mirrored.

There has been an invasion of spammers on this site while the general members have been busy with jobs and real life and things.

Don't forget to moderate comments and mark spam as spam.

I may have to arrange for new users to be vetted unless this stops.

According to The Isle of Thanet Gazette there is a good chance of no rubbish collection over the festive period.

One worker said that "I think this is the most rotten firm I have worked for in 40 years of being a dustman".

"What a supprise" given the boss is TDC...

This does, however, raise the question - what to do to keep yourself from drowning in junk this crimbo?

Ask Santa for a compresser maybe?

It's not excaped anyones notice that there is a growing collection of bloggers from thanet who blog about thanet.

For those who have no idea what I am talking about I appologise now.

For those of you who blog I have a tip for you - a site that may help us all connect better with each other. MyBlogLog is the site and aside from having some social networking aspects to it it is highly blog focused making it a great way to get the word out.

I appologise to the one or two people who comment but have not got FREE accounts - I am fed up with removing spam from the moderation list. Accounts are free and easy to set up and you don't need to use your real name (council members). Finding the one good comment in pages of adult links and dodgy medical offers was too much for me.

Police fail to answer call for help!

It can't have escaped anyones notice that after five 999 calls from St Stephen's Junior School (Canterbury) where staff requested help because an armed man was in the building they still put in a big fat no-show.

With word on the street that Kent Cops favour the cold hard cash of drug dealers, the stories of victims being arrested, the increase in local crime (no doubt as a diect result) and the general perversity of police action - I wonder if we'd be safer without a police force.
