Council use Housing Act - first to do so

General

IT's all over the news that TDC have use the "Emergency Prohibition Order under the Housing Act 2004" and are the first to do so.

"Council officers were called in to inspect a house in multiple occupation (HMO) in the Cliftonville area of Margate, after complaints from members of the public about the anti-social behaviour of the tenants and damage to the property. They found that the property had no hot running water, no secure doors to the premises, no banisters on the stairs, all the fire doors were smashed, the fire alarm panel was broken and the property was generally poorly managed."
