Shortage of nursery places

Any one else noticed a shortage of nursery places? Any ideas where good ones are to be found?

I'm guessing that the distribution of nurseries and the distribution of need are badly fitting with each other. For example the nursery at Sure Start has four or five large folders that reprisent it's waiting list.

While at the same time many nurseries have waiting lists so big entire shelves are taken up.

My expirence has been shortage too (apart from some well known nurseries that have truely suspect practices).

If you know of some reasonable nurseries with spare places publish a list. Then the topic would be answered I guess.

Nursery places

I know this is probably too late and out of date, but I am aware of many banners and notices outside the various nursey's advertising places.
Is there truly a shortage?
